► Photo Rejuvenation - IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
Photo rejuvenation is a cosmetic treatment that uses utilizes a broad spectrum light source to treat dark spots, blotchy skin, broken capillaries, rosacea, redness, and enlarged pores, which can occur as a result of aging and lifestyle choices. The light energy is delivered into the skin, targeting vascular and pigmented lesions, which slowly disappear as the body's natural healing processes reabsorb them. The number of skin lightening dermatologist treatments will depend on the severity of your condition. Downtime is dependent upon the specific treatment received.

► Cosmetic Injections

Botulinum Toxin

Botulinum toxin is FDA approved to treat dynamic lines (those that move with facial expression) above and between the eyebrows in patients between the ages of 18 to 65 years.

It will soften, but not completely remove fixed lines (those present on an expressionless face). Botulinum toxin is injected into selected muscle groups to minimize facial wrinkles and usually lasts about 3 to 4 months.

A consultation with one of our providers is required to see if you are a candidate for botulinum toxin. Should your provider indicate this treatment for your condition, please click on the corresponding link for instructions and a consent form.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers are FDA-approved and used for the cosmetic treatment of fine facial lines, wrinkles, and folds. Dermal fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in every living cell. Synthetic gel forms of hyaluronic acid derived from non-animal sources are highly compatible with the body. When the gel is injected, it acts like an inflated cushion to support facial structures and tissues that may have lost volume or elasticity with normal aging. Hyaluronic acid also brings water to the surface of skin to keep it looking fresh and supple. The gel is injected into the skin through a fine-gauge needle at the site of unwanted lines and wrinkles.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can last up to 9-12 months or longer. Like any cosmetic procedure, there is no guarantee of complete satisfaction, or that wrinkles and folds will disappear completely. Additional treatments may be required to achieve desired results, and visible outcomes will vary per patient. In order to maintain the desired effect, subsequent injections are required within six months to one year.

► Chemical Peels
A patient about to receive a chemical peel treatment. Chemical peels are used to address such problems as acne, oily skin, sun spots, blotchy pigmentation, aging skin, and wrinkles. The formulas contain purified ingredients, such as Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, and antioxidants that work at the molecular level to exfoliate dead skin cells and promote healthy cell growth. We carry a variety of peels to ensure that the appropriate ingredients are being used for the right skin type and skin condition.

► Sclerotherapy
A patient receiving a sclerotherapy treatment to their ankle.Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to treat broken capillaries of the legs commonly called "spider veins." A solution is injected directly into the affected vein causing irritation of the lining, which in turn causes swelling and coagulation. Over time, the vessels are reabsorbed by the body and disappear. Sclerotherapy is a well-proven procedure performed since the 1930s.

► Tattoo Correction & Removal
Not all tattoos are desired for life. If you have ever wanted to erase artwork that once meant something to you or perhaps create space for new ink, now you can with the latest version of tattoo removal lasers on the market. The PicoSure™ Picosecond Workstation is the first and only aesthetic laser for the removal of tattoos, as well as benign pigmented lesions. Its unparalleled technology delivers ultra-short bursts of energy to the skin in trillionths of a second. This technology provides a photomechanical impact with better clearance and fewer treatments than its predecessors.

The PicoSure™ uses an Alexandrite laser that can see all colors of ink, including green and blue which have been difficult to remove in the past. This wavelength is delivered in picoseconds and is 100 times shorter than the previous nanosecond technology, making it more effective on recalcitrant tattoos.

Pricing is based on artwork measuring approximately the size of a business card. Most tattoos can be removed in about 6 sessions. However, since there is no standardization for tattoo ink, number of treatments and clearance may vary depending on the formulas and pigments used. Factors that affect the dispersal of ink include amateur vs. professional tattoos, location of the tattoo, and the age of the tattoo.

Should you desire to have a tattoo corrected or removed, please click on the tattoo correction and removal link for instructions and a consent form.
